New Adult Electives Beginning May 11th |
|
Sundays @ 9: Session 4 of Spring 2008 begins May 11th. The following classes are being offered at 9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings here at the church. Come join us! A Study of Christ’s Person and Work:—Taught by Steve Gregg and Ryan Fields (4 weeks) This is the second in a series of adult elective classes that will study various biblical doctrines that are foundational to our faith. Come explore questions concerning the human state and the role Jesus Christ plays in bringing humans into relationship with God the Father. Ruth: From Emptyness to Fulness—Taught by Kevin Kelsey (4 weeks) A devotional look into this ancient story of loss, love, and new life. Find out what a widowed foreigner and her elderly mother-in-law teach us about our relationship with the Lord. A Breviary of Sin by Cornelius Plantinga—Taught by Steve Gregg and Jay Lynch (Continued from previous session) This book seeks to consider in very down to earth language and style, just what sin is and the countless ways it seeks to vandalize our world and ourselves. The way in which the author unpacks the subject gives tremendous insight into the brokenness we see around us. One of the best books ever written on the topic, this is one class everyone at Creekside should take at one time or another. Freedom in Christ: Living Out this Biblical Truth, A Study for Women— Taught by Margaux Shrader and Betsy Clover (Continued from previous session) Through careful consideration of the Scriptures and practical discussion of daily life guided by Steve Brown’s book Born Free, we will explore ways of living as Christians as we are conformed more and more to Christ without being constrained by legalistic ideals. One Another Group—Hosted by Lee Lloyd (ongoing) This is a great chance to commit to fellowship with some other members of the Creekside family while growing together in faith. |
